Robot Zot! by Jon Scieszka and illustrated by David Shannon was published in 2009 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Robot Zot is a touch and heroic robot who fends off blenders, coffee makers and other vicious kitchen appliances, the vacuum, and even challenges the gigantic mouth. While out fighting evil he finds his queen (a child’s toy telephone) and saves his her from the evil dollies because he is no chicken bot. He even saves her form the dreded commander general (the family dog) and escapes with his queen to a distant galaxy.
A funny and fearless tale, I would recommend this book to children (and adults) of all ages, children who like adventure and action will love it.
